Chain founders Garrett Guttenberg and Brian Hallinan rallied up The Chain troops on Superbowl Day as they took a plunge in The Atlantic Ocean.  The air temperature was about 28 degrees with a water temperature of 41. Those far from ideal swimming conditions did not phase The Chain. “There is nothing The Chain wont do for charity” said Guttenberg.  The plunge is an annual Long Beach event where all proceeds go to The Make a Wish Foundation. The chain successful raised $1500 for the event.  “We have been a part of the plunge for years down here in Long Beach- but it’s really nice to plunge with a group as dedicated as The Chain” said Janet Slavin, a local Long Beach real estate attorney and founding Chain member.
